SEXUAL HEALTH: Young people not getting good advice

The fpa, formerly the Family Planning Association, is calling for a "contraception champion" in each primary care trust to ensure services are accessible.

Anne Weyman, fpa chief executive, said: "Access to the full range of contraceptive methods should be a fundamental right, not a luxury."

Contraception champions should ensure that information about methods of contraception is available, that sexual health training is provided for professionals and that services work together, said Weyman.
