Sexual health: Fpa set to expand youth sex education project

1 min read

The Sexability programme gives young people information to help them make decisions about sexual health, and could be expanded initially to London if financial backing is found.

The project was launched in Glasgow last December and works with young males and females in schools and youth groups. The six-week programme works with each gender individually at first, then brings them together in the later stages of the project.

It is based on the charity's Speakeasy scheme, which is designed to give parents the confidence to talk more openly with their children about sex and relationships. Tim Street, director of fpa in Scotland, said: "We look at things such as the impact of gender on relationships and growing up, and how you move into being an adult."
