Scotland: Young people air views in podcasts

Youth information agency Young Scot is producing a series of podcasts in which young people from across Scotland express their hopes and fears.

The Download Lowdown initiative, supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundationand Dialogue Youth, will feature 16 podcasts about the realities ofgrowing up in Scotland. The first has been produced by young people fromPolmont Young Offender Institution, who give a frank account of theirexperiences inside. The remaining podcasts will be released on a weeklybasis and can be downloaded free from iTunes orwww.youngscot.org.uk.

Gregor Urquhart, communications director at Young Scot, said: "Thepodcasts give everyone a chance to hear young people's views, which wehave been collecting over the past 18 months."
