The charity, which runs the North Argyll Carers Centre in Oban on the mainland, has received a 60,000 grant through the Princess Royal Trust for Carers' Young Carers Grants Programme from Comic Relief to fund the work.
The three-year project will include support groups run during school lunchtimes, one-to-one sessions, as well as email, text and web support.
Ruth Moody, centre manager of the North Argyll Carers Centre, said: "Because the areas are often rural, there are confidentiality issues and we will be sending workers in from the mainland to help young people remain anonymous." www.quarriers.org.uk
