The Scottish Executive has allocated 300,000 over the next two years to develop the network, which will support local agencies throughout Scotland to deliver better services.
And NHS Highland is to receive 90,000 to develop services in the north of Scotland. The project will focus on the needs of young people leaving school and moving to adult services.
It comes as the deputy health minister Rhona Brankin opened a resource centre in Glasgow to support people with autism, their families and practitioners.
