Scotland: Commissioner holds national youth vote

Marshall's staff are teaming up with youth information agency Young Scot to tour the country in an internet-enabled van next month. Marshall will draw up a list of between six and eight issues based on previous youth surveys. Young people can vote online or on postcards.

The commissioner's head of participation, Stephen Bermingham, said: "We will only select areas where we feel the commissioner can make a difference to the lives of young people."

The target for the vote will be 11-to 18-year-olds. The team will carry out a separate project with charity Save the Children, to bring hard-to-reach young people's voices into the consultation.
