The accredited training, called TOP UP, has been developed by YouthLink Scotland and Children in Scotland, in partnership with the Scottish Qualifications Authority and five local authorities.
It is being funded by a 20,000 Scottish Arts Council grant, as well as contributions from local authorities.
The accreditation, which is expected to be validated by Christmas, will cover a range of subjects, including planning, preparation and group work.
The programme has been designed for artists working with young people and adult learners in formal and informal education. The courses last between three and nine months.
