Funding: Received money from the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Youth Taskforce
Aim: To give young people radio and DJ skills Budding DJs are being given the opportunity to showcase their skills, thanks to an initiative being run in East Sussex.
As part of a bid to help young people become involved in positive activities, East Sussex Youth Offending Team has commissioned a new project to teach them radio and DJ skills. Young people will be shown how to operate broadcast equipment, record interviews, present music specialist shows and edit for commercial radio.
The initiative is being run in partnership with the volunteer group Respond, a youth project run with the help of local young people.
