The Sun says many young people face prejudice based on their race, religion or background. Is this an accurate picture of modern Britain? Do young people think such prejudice is widespread? Talk about what part tabloid newspapers usually play in combating or encouraging it.

Invite young people to say what they think Britishness is. What might the people of Britain have in common that they don't share with others?

A survey by a right-leaning think-tank has suggested that 37 per cent of 16- to 24-year-old Muslims in this country would prefer to live under Sharia law rather than British law. Talk about why they might feel that.
