The book explores the work of Emmi Pekler and Magda Gerber in Hungaryand the US. The chapters that follow are written by practitioners fromthe Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) organisation that Gerberfounded in California.
They include an outline of the RIE approach to the curriculum, its useby practitioners and parents, the role of the RIE mentor and itspotential to support practice in the UK.
Practitioners familiar with the work of Elinor Goldschmied willrecognise many similarities in the approach recommended by RIE and thatpromoted by Goldschmied for many years.
