The book looks at three broad areas: children's views and needs;protecting women and children; and working with perpetrators. To give abrief highlight from each section is hard when every chapter is packedwith ideas, but let me try. There is the child who responded to anadult's plea for children to voice their needs more clearly, with thewords: "Listen more loudly please." The Duluth power and control wheelis also outlined in the book.
It makes complete sense to many women, who find it immediatelyempowering.
And there is the challenge from a Norwegian project that asked whethermen who are domestically violent can be "good enough" fathers, showinghow child abuse and domestic violence can be integrated into the singleconcept of family violence.
