Goal: To encourage young people to get involved in studying the island's heritage
Funding: The project received 24,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund
Young people from the Isle of Wight went back in time for a film that chronicles the history of the island up to the year 2000.
Timeline is made for and by young people and brings events from the past to life through acting, puppets, music, photographs and animation. These include the building of St Catherine's Lighthouse in 1312, King Ethelred the Unready's stay on the island and the destruction of Shanklin Pier in 1987.
Filming for the 40-minute DVD took place over two years and involved more than 40 young people aged 13 to 19.
