Goals: To provide young people who do not usually use youth services with a place to hang out with their friends

Funding: 30,000 from the New Opportunities Fund and 32,000 from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund

The district of Bolsover in Derbyshire has a new scheme for young people called Buzz Ticket, a brightly designed double-decker bus that it plans to run until September next year. The project has already held pilot sessions and will be visited by youth workers at a forum in September before it starts touring the district.

The initiative, supported by Snap Development Project and the Community Church in South Normanton, was developed to target those young people who fail to access youth work provision. It will be provided in places where young people meet, including secondary school campuses, parks, marketplaces and community centres.
