Echoes of Ireland

The city of Liverpool has long had close links with Ireland. An interactive CD-Rom has been produced by Liverpool City Council that highlights for young people the history of Irish migration to their city, the reasons they came, their poverty and their contribution to the city, ranging from Kitty Wilkinson, who opened the world's first wash house, to Beatle Paul McCartney. Copies have gone to all schools, museums and schools in Liverpool and Ireland. Price: Free Available from: marketing@liverpool.gov.uk.
