Resources: Just Out - A round-up of new resources

Children in War: The British Red Cross has launched this online educational resource to support its Children in War campaign running during the Euro 2004 football championships. Schools who sign up to Play Fair Day (24 June), will be able to access the resource free of charge. It provides materials for primary and secondary schools to teach pupils about the humanitarian issues around conflict and war, and draws a parallel between young people in war and gang membership in the UK.

Positive practice: achieving equality in childcare

The Daycare Trust's practitioners' guide highlights good practice in childcare services for Black and minority ethnic families. It has been produced as part of the charity's Parents' Eye project, which looks at perceptions of childcare among those groups, and includes advice on taking childcare into communities. A report on the project, which was funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, is also available.
