Making a Brew looks at the difference Seacroft Sure Start has made topeople's lives and is told through the stories of people who live on theSeacroft estate. The stories touch on numerous subjects from life on theestate to how Sure Start helped individual people. They include Andy,who Sure Start supported when he became depressed after quitting his jobto raise his disabled son. This educational DVD warns young people about the dangers of arson andanti-social behaviour. The film's storyline was developed with the helpof pupils at Folkestone Girls' Grammar School. The film, which premieredat Maidstone Odeon last week, is aimed at Key Stage 4 pupils. Copies areto be sent to every secondary school in Kent. It is hoped the film willdiscourage children from starting fires and make them more aware of thedangers.
