Eggbert's Adventures

This series of books is based around a central character called Eggbert,who lives in Eggland. Developed over seven years, with input fromteachers and children, the books aim to improve vocabulary and honereading skills.

Each of the stories is written in rhyming couplets and in each bookEggbert visits a new place. Alongside the books, the author has set up aweb site with games and activities that are free to download.

Autism and Me

This award-winning short film is one of several made by 18-year-old RoryHoy. Diagnosed with autism as a child, Hoy uses this film to try to helpviewers understand the challenges that having autism presents ineveryday life, including the confusion caused by loud noise and crowdedplaces. Along with the DVD, there is a booklet explaining more aboutautism and why the film was made. It also has explanations of some ofthe behaviours those with autism display.
