The Play Ranger Guide

After a consultation with children in north east Somerset revealed thatthey wanted safe places to play, a play ranger scheme was set up. Thisguide, produced by the Wansdyke Play Association, uses this experienceto explain how to set up a play ranger scheme.

Starting with an explanation of what rangers are, the guide goes throughevery process needed and includes draft examples of important forms suchas a volunteer policy and session review sheets. It is also available onCD.

ISPEEK at Home and ISPEEK at School

These CDs are aimed at workers and carers of children with autisticspectrum disorders and communication difficulties. The discs containthousands of symbols that can be used to convey messages withoutlanguage. Also included are templates of useful tools, such as dailyschedules, and ideas for parents and teachers to help them devise visualaids.
