How did you get into this? I worked as a sports development officer in a community organisation in inner-city Birmingham for three years - I was a volunteer there first.

What attracted you to this role? I had been working in the same community for five years and I wanted another challenge. Working with visually impaired young people was something I'd never done before. For many of the young people coming to the Actionnaires clubs, it's their first experience of sport, so not only do you see a real change in their mobility and sporting ability, but also in their interest. They want to come back and do more.
