The home is the first of its kind to be built, and is designed in a"lazy S" shape with two separate living quarters, each for fourchildren, and a central administration block.
Corridors within the building are curved, so the building does not feellike a big institution.
Gloria Armitage, operational manager for residential services forWorcestershire County Council, said: "We have concentrated on colourschemes and lighting and we also feel it is important to utilise theexternal space."
