Regeneration: West London youth club to pave way for neighbourhood revamp

1 min read

The Stowe Club in Westbourne Green, which dates back to 1927, is being rebuilt by Westminster City Council as part of a five-year plan to regenerate the area.

The 1960s building, which closed in May, housed advice and training services including Connexions, as well as sport and recreational activities. All have been relocated until the scheduled opening of the new centre in the autumn of next year.

The new four-floor building will provide users with 50 per cent more space. Facilities will include a sport and events hall, a fitness room, a music and performing arts centre, an IT suite and homework facility and a one-stop Connexions service.
