
I have been a Whizz-Kidz ambassador for more than five years now. As a young wheelchair user at school, I was a very hard worker, but I would get really stressed over my schoolwork.
I had other hobbies, but my life really revolved around doing well at school. However, I found that finding an opportunity to chat to other wheelchair-users my age meant that I could totally be myself.
For me, this was through the charity Whizz-Kidz. As soon as I walked into my first club in Newcastle, I felt like a completely different person. I lost all of my inhibitions straight away and immediately felt confident.
