A poll of 122 Labour delegates by The Children's Society discovered that, as teenagers, 91 per cent met friends in public places while 87 per cent came home alone after 9pm - both barred by incoming antisocial behaviour laws.
In addition, 78 per cent of those polled expressed concern that young people would not be able to enjoy the same freedoms they had as a child.
The conference also saw 13 youth charities issue a joint statement condemning the antisocial behaviour bill and accusing the Government of promoting laws that would "divide communities".
