Established in May last year, Positive Futures Coventry acts on two levels: prevention and referral. Prevention encompasses sessions held seven days a week in schools and the community, where up to 200 young people play football, cricket and other sports. Referrals of around 60 young people who have been arrested, excluded or are at risk of exclusion come from local youth offending teams, behavioural support departments, the police and local youth services. A forum with members from groups feeds back on the project from their perspective.
