Learning hairdressing skills and how to give hand massages and manicures may not seem like typical youth work activities, but a project in Cornwall has been leading the way in training and providing salon treatments for young people.
The Wellbeing project at the Redruth Youth Centre was launched officially earlier this month and was the brainchild of Karin Saunders, youth support worker and former Body Shop employee, who brought in a range of products for the young women at the centre to try out.
