Project notes: Swings and Roundabouts, health4all, Brighton

1 min read

Goal: To increase young people's awareness of sexual health issues and to create a sex education film for use with other young people

Funding: 11,000 from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, eb4u and the local teenage pregnancy budget

Teaching young people about the risks involved in unsafe sex is never an easy task and while the use of films can help, they often lack credibility with teenagers.

To remedy this, Vicki Lader, teenage pregnancy and sexual health development worker at health4all, decided to get young people to produce a film that would get across the message of safe sex in a way that is relevant to them.
