Goals: Project to give peer-led sexual health and relationship advice to young people in Hull

Funding: 5,000 from The National Lottery

A need for information on sexual health that linked to local services led to young people from Bransholme approaching Hull Youth Council. The group wanted to find out about local resources and package them in an accessible format.

Having made a successful application for a one-off lottery grant, a 15-strong group of 12- to 18-year-olds began work on the magazine last summer, with the guidance of youth worker Amy Baker, of North Carr Youth Networks.

They attended a series of workshops at the CornerHouse, a drop-in centre in the city that gives confidential information on sexual health matters.
