Goal: To make dance more accessible to boys and young men and encourage them to participate

Funding: Receives 29,000 from the Arts Council South East

Getting boys interested in dance might work well as a plot line for a blockbuster movie, but in reality it takes more effort, as The Point project for young men has discovered. Despite this, The Point, a dance and arts centre run by Eastleigh Borough Council, has found its dance project Man Jumping to be successful in breaking down stereotypes.

The project uses a mix of workshops, performance and watching to encourage boys and young men to get involved in dance in a variety of ways.
