Goals: To create a garden for a community house used by mothers and toddlers as a nursery and clinic, which in turn improves the skills of the young people on the project

Funding: Receives 5,000 from the Welsh Assembly Government and additional funding of 470 from The Prince's Trust

Sun, sea and sand were the first of many colourful ideas suggested by Saltney Youth Council when it was asked to make the garden of a community house in Flintshire more attractive.

Following the success of a summer scheme for five- to 11-year-olds run by the youth council, local MP Mark Tami suggested council members might be able to help the Community House, a local residents' project that includes a nursery.
