Professor Carolyn Hamilton, director of the Children's Legal Centre, has been appointed as a commissioner on the Legal Services Commission.
Hamilton will advise on child and family justice matters. She is also senior legal adviser to 11 Million, a member of the Family Justice Council and a law chair at the University of Essex.
