It was clear when I first met her that this young mother was not veryconfident. She was very self-conscious and thought she was a bad parent.The baby had developmental problems and was very blank and didn'trespond well. Usually with children you can pull a funny face and theywill react, but she didn't at all. It was clear that the mother washaving problems dealing with this and the bond between them didn't feelstrong at all.
