Gemma is 11 years old and her school attendance is poor. In the past, she has attended two or three days out of five, but recently this had deteriorated. The school has referred Gemma to the reporter team.
On the face of it, the attendance printout shows a variety of causes for the absences, which at 67 per cent is causing strong concern.
