Police chiefs rethink cannabis guidance

The Association of Chief Police Officers guidance says 10- to 17-year-olds can be arrested for possession of cannabis, but that consideration should be given to less intrusive means if possible.

The association has updated its guidance to take into account powers of arrest contained in the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Act 2005.
