Play programme goes nationwide

Early Years
An innovative play programme designed especially for early years settings is being rolled out across the UK.

Leaps and Bounds was designed by play company Tumble Tots and Cambridge University academic Patricia Maude.

The programme incorporates physical play and activities, songs and rhyming, and ideas for activities for children to carry out at home with their parents.

Leaps and Bounds has been piloted in childcare settings across the country and is now being offered nationwide.

Anne Griffin, spokeswoman for Tumble Tots, said: "The Tumble Tots programme was designed for parents to bring their children along, but when children are in day nurseries because they maybe working, they can't do that.

"We developed Leaps and Bounds specifically for childcare settings."
