Learning Through Landscapes is looking to appoint an early years development officer to support workers and respond to the need for more outdoor play under the curriculum.
A spokeswoman for Learning Through Landscapes said the officer would help settings worried about meeting the foundation stage standards for outdoor space.
"Some people are feeling nervous," she said. "We can show them that other settings have made simple changes that transform a car park into a suitable space for children to play."
The appointment is part of an expansion of the charity's services into the early years sector.
