Ruth Cadbury, Hounslow's executive member for children and lifelong learning, said: "We want to see Hounslow going from not doing very much in terms of youth participation to changing the culture of how young people are seen by officers and councillors." A stronger say in decision-making was an overwhelming concern.
The council responded by writing to those who attended, asking whether they would like to sit on an action group.
They will meet a youth worker in central Hounslow or Feltham every Tuesday to decide what should be done.
