OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Bill to reduce legal action on activities

Tim Loughton, shadow minister for children, young people and families, said: "The bill will help those organisations in fear of someone slipping over and getting sued as a result."

Loughton added: "Indemnity insurance is prohibitively expensive just for standard events."

Rachel Johnson, spokeswoman for Outward Bound, said: "This type of law is imperative but what comes before this is staff training."
