Opinion: The Ferret ... digs behind the headlines

1 min read

The Daily Mail helpfully pointed out that the second most senior clergyman in the Church of England has often broken with tradition.

"At his inauguration last year, he invited bare-chested dancers and pounded out a beat on a set of African drums," it said.

What is more: "At Easter, he performed outdoor baptisms in which the faithful were fully immersed under water."

And to cap it all, the Mail seems to say, in his latest escapade: "Dr Sentamu addressed 650 people who were spending the day at Bradford Grammar School discussing how they can improve their work with young people."

How eccentric is that?
