All teammembers are highly skilled and professionally trained, and all haveearned a third party accreditation that recognises their professionalachievements: all that is, except foster carers.
Are we failing to meet the needs of children by not acknowledging carersas professionals? We call them professionals, encourage them and, onoccasion, require them to undertake training up to NVQ Level 3. But thisexperience underpinned by academic qualifications and training does notconfer genuine professional status.
