Opinion: If we were in charge of poverty eradication - Katherine,16, Derby; Hannah, 15, London; Lilly, 15, Somerset

Katherine, 16, Derby - We want a fair world to live in. Young children want opportunities. I want other people to be aware of how it's greed really. Child poverty isn't a kid's fault, it's adults' fault. Educational maintenance allowance in colleges should be raised; 30 a week isn't going to get you a new pair of shoes.

- Hannah, 15, London - I live in a house with other family members. Theyalready complain about rent and housing costs. If more houses were builtand there were more jobs for young people, it would be easier. It'salways on the news that adults help the poor, but they always seem totalk and nothing happens.

- Lilly, 15, Somerset - I reckon there is not enough land forTravellers. They live on the road and the police have got an attitude tous and should be nicer. Kids don't get enough money if they're poor andfuel prices are high. I have to use a generator and it's getting moreexpensive. My mum's on the dole and really she should just have moremoney.
