We'd also lower the voting age to 16 so young people can get their voiceheard and have a say. As UK Youth Parliament members for Hartlepool,we've been backing the Votes at 16 campaign and think this is animportant issue in Hartlepool.
We'd give young people in Year 9 a better range of subjects to choosefrom to help them progress further in life when they are older. We'dhave more hands-on learning and more political subjects so young peopleare more politically aware.
We'd have more recreational places for young people so they can havesomewhere safe to play. And we'd get more young people-friendly sportand physical recreational centres as there are a lot of obese teenagersin Hartlepool and the North East and this would help tackle thisissue.
