We don't do karate at school; we do PE and football and that lot when we have games lessons. But I think we should do karate as well because it helps you to defend yourself.

I started doing karate when I was nine. Some men were going roundknocking on doors on our street and a man knocked on our door and askedme if I wanted to join the karate club and I said yes. Now I go trainingfour times a week and I've just been to Australia for the Karate WorldCup where I came fourth.

I had special training sessions on Bondi Beach, which were awesome. Thecompetition was in a massive stadium and there were 1,900 competitorsfrom four countries - Australia, America, New Zealand and England. Thecompetition involved 120 children aged 10 to 11 who all had 6th to 4thKyu (green to red belts). I had eight battles and I won them all exceptthe one in the final fours, which I lost and just missed out on a medal.Out of all the countries England came second.
