Opinion: If I were in charge of school - Hal Smith, 12, Berkshire

1 min read
There are a lot of things I would change about school. For a start, there should be more practical lessons, where I can use my hands. I hate using a pen and paper all the time as I find it difficult to always write things down.

If I could do more technology, like making things out of wood, I wouldbe much happier at school. I'd also like to learn something cool likeelectronics or bricklaying. There should also be more PE lessons becauseI love playing football. We only play sport once a week and I don'tthink that's enough. There are too many English and maths lessons aswell.

Also, I think teachers should only give out homework if it's importantfor our next lesson, not just for the sake of it like they sometimesdo.

They should try and make lessons more fun so that the children won't behalf asleep and will want to learn more.
