OPINION: If I Were in charge of ... Children's television - Harriet Nugent-Kelly, 6, Wilmslow

1 min read
I would have lots of programmes about Barbie because I like to pretend I'm Barbie and not Harriet. I like to watch TV with my big sister Francesca. She loves Blue Peter and would like to watch it every day.

We both like things that make us laugh, like ChuckleVision and Frank Spencer. I like them as I can see them doing all the silly things but I can't understand word jokes like Francesca can.

I would have more things about animals, like my two kittens, and monkeys because they are funny.

Mummy and daddy don't let us watch cartoons with lots of fighting in them. We watch ones like the Wild Thornberrys, Scooby Doo, Arthur and Mona the Vampire, so I'd have more of those.

Our TV in the living room has digital channels on it so we can watch things on CBeebies when we don't like what is on normal TV. Sometimes we then look at what's on the web site as well. Francesca is always trying to win prizes in the competitions but she hasn't won one yet.
