It was good to see your summer equipment feature (YPN, 6-12 June, p17), and while appreciating there are limits to what you can include, I think you have missed the best and cheapest of the bunch. I refer, of course, to the good old frisbee or flying disc.
We in Gloucestershire have run a range of disc activities over the years, and young people find them fun, engaging and challenging. There are activities easily adopted by many different groups: wheelchair users, the unfit and the ultra competitive.
We have marketed our own range recently to promote what we do. In bulk with our own two-colour design, these cost less than a pound each.
