OPINION: Debate - Do children have a big enough say in the BBC's future?

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport's consultation document for young people on the future of the BBC has been described as "very dull". Is the Government taking children's views on the subject as seriously as it should?

I didn't know young people could have a say in the future of the BBC. I've just learned there is a web site where young people can go and find a "child-friendly" explanation of what the Royal Charter is and how we can contribute to the review. But it's not the easiest site to find and I doubt many people my age will know anything about it. What's the point in being able to have a say if we didn't know we could in the first place?
