Do we know much about how well children's trusts are working? It's interesting how people talk about "six years on" when in reality the structural changes associated with the development of the children's trust partnership and the implementation of the Children Act 2004 are still relatively recent. There is information available, but it's debatable whether the Ofsted reports offer a clear argument for or against children's trusts. What they do is provide an indication of how well an individual local area is coping with the changes, and whether it is safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people.
