Dalziel High in Motherwell has taken steps after figures showed that one in five 12-year-olds in Scotland was clinically obese.
Headmaster Brian Miller said the school decided to sell low-fat crisps after pupils showed little interest in buying fruit.
The crisps come in a packet with a picture of the school on the front and are made by Uttoxeter-based Better Tasting Snack Foods.
