A conference - Back to the Future: Networks for All Ages - jointly organised by the Beth Johnson Foundation and the National Youth Agency (NYA) in London on 28 October will provide an overview of the current state of intergenerational work and provide delegates with the chance to discuss their ideas with, and learn from, experienced practitioners and policy makers. It will bring together learning from the NYA Youth Intergenerational Pilot Programme as well as the early findings from local authority Generations Together demonstrators.
Speakers include Anne Weinstock, head of the Youth Taskforce, who will explore shifting negative perceptions through positive experiences, and Fiona Blacke, NYA chief executive, who will focus on young and old together - a potent mix for social cohesion.
