The 5.8m Change UR Future strand aims to promote the health, achievement and learning of under-25s in Northern Ireland. It will be followed next year by a 4m small grants programme that will give grants to young people to develop their own projects.
Youth groups in Northern Ireland suffering from a loss of funding following the closure of the 29m statutory Children's Fund earlier this year will be able to apply to the Young People's Fund, but only for new enhancements or innovations.
The Big Lottery Fund's National Grants Programme in England opened for its second round of applications (13m) this week. Grants of 1m are available to projects operating for up to three years, although applications of 5m may be considered for exceptional schemes.
